Our Story
Founded in 1827, Siloam A.M.E. Church began as Old Branch Church, one of the oldest Black churches in the area. The current location was built in 1940 and served the community during the Great Depression.
Notable visitors include The Five Blind Boys and Nichols Family Singers. Siloam is also proud to have been a place of worship for local business leaders: Hansen Young Bus Service, Shockley Construction, Bubby's Palace and Barber Shop, and Oliver Neal Grocery among others.
